Harvey Memorial Animal Hospial had its start before the 1920's as a privately owned, large animal hospital treating work horses and farm animals in the Detroit and Grosse Point areas. During the Depression the need for companion animal doctors started to increase, which led to the hospital switching gears and becoming primarily a companion animal hospital, aimed at providing top-notch, revolutionary medicine to our furry friends. From the beginning we have remained privately owned and operated, continuing to provide the best care possible to the pets of our local communities throughout the generations. Driven by our core values and deep dedication, we strive to continue our education not only in the advancements of medicine, but in low-stress, fear free practices to only deliver the best practices available.
