Wellness Plans: Routine Preventive Pet Exams
The veterinary team at Harvey Memorial Animal Hospital in Detroit devote themselves to the care and well-being of pets day in, day out. Your pet's health and well-being are extremely important to us. During pet exams, we check for underlying illness and perform many preventive services, and routine pet exams are the key to extending our patient's health. To help pet parents keep their four-legged family members the healthiest, we've created wellness plans – our one-of-a-kind, comprehensive pet health care programs.

With reasonable and predictive payments, you don't have to choose between your pet's care and your wallet. Though wellness plans are not insurance, a simple monthly payment covers your pet's necessary pet exams, recommended vaccinations, and more. Plus, our wellness plans offer discounts throughout the year and the peace of mind that your pet is receiving the quality preventive health care he or she deserves.
Tailored to Your Pet's Needs
Every pet is different, making each of their health needs different. Therefore, our wellness plans are tailored to the health needs of each individual pet. Our plans are comprehensive, but your pet may be susceptible to dental issues like tooth decay and gingivitis. Dental cleanings may be just what your pet needs to keep them the healthiest. If you have a puppy or kitten, you may want to add on spay or neuter surgery, which is performed for most pets around six months old. Wellness plans are good for one year, giving you the flexibility to reassess your pet's needs annually and choose the most appropriate plan at renewal time.
What Adult & Senior Plans Cover:
- Free medical exams for a year (biannual exams are recommended)
- Core vaccines for your pet (Recommendations based on the American Animal Hospital Association and
American Association of Feline Practitioner's guidelines) - Fecal exams every 6 months for intestinal parasites (Recommendations based on the Companion Animal Parasite Control)
- Blood test to screen for heartworm, Lyme disease, other tick-borne diseases, feline leukemia, and FIV for outdoor cats
- Additional blood work to screen for early signs of disease or abnormalities
- Special bloodwork for senior pets
- Urinalysis
- 10% discount on the purchase of up to 12 months of heartworm and flea prevention.
- 10% discount on medications and services for a year
What Puppy & Kitten Plans Cover:
- Free medical exams for a year
- Core vaccines for your pet (Recommendations based on the American Animal Hospital Association and
American Association of Feline Practitioners' guidelines) - Fecal exams every 6 months for intestinal parasites (Recommendations based on the Companion Animal Parasite Control)
- Deworming (puppies and kittens are susceptible to intestinal parasites, and all puppies are born with roundworm)
- Blood test to be used as preanesthetic blood work prior to spay or neuter, feline leukemia, and FIV testing for kittens
- Spay or Neuter surgery
- 10% discount on the purchase of 6 or more doses of heartworm and flea prevention
- 10% discount on medications and services for a year
