Hi, my name is Jenna, and I am a Veterinary Assistant at Harvey Memorial Animal Hospital. Providing high-quality care and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment is what drives me.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, time with family, friends, and pets comes first. Drawing is a real passion of mine, along with exploring my creative side through all sorts of hobbies, playing video games, cooking, and getting outdoors whenever I can. My childhood dog, Grizzly Bear, lives with my parents and will always be my best friend, so I visit him often. My husband and I also recently adopted two kittens, Arthur and Fox, who are both sweet and full of personality.
Education
My education came through Capac Community Schools, where I graduated in 2021. Studies continued at Macomb Community College in 2023 and 2024, covering animal nutrition, health, and veterinary coursework.
Professional Background
My OSHA certification was earned in 2026.
Work History
My career began at Warren Woods Veterinary Clinic from 2021 to January 2022, where the work involved feeding, medication, and kennel care for boarding animals, alongside assisting veterinary technicians with patient care. From 2022 to December 2023 came a veterinary assistant role at Banfield Pet Hospital, assisting with routine examinations, surgical preparation, diagnostics, medications, and vaccines.
Time at Almont Dryden Veterinary Clinic followed, where my responsibilities included blood draws, x-rays, faecal testing, and ear swab readings, along with handling and restraining dogs, cats, and exotic animals, and preparing and sterilising surgical instrument packs. Most recently, at Faithful Friends Veterinary Care through to July 2026, my role combined veterinary assisting with reception — supporting diagnostics and daily clinic operations while managing appointments and client communication.
